@AHK reminded me to check on the status of the variance that @Paclo noted above.

Decision notice - Approved - February 4th, 2026.

Shoring permit was accepted February 23rd, 2026, and is 'under review' with evidence of being active as at March 20th, 2026.

Does anyone know why they put stack of concrete blocks along the heritage wall (to prevent it from collapsing when they start digging) ?
Amazed that City planners approved the building (permit) so close to PJ condo with similar height as their foundation may be affected when the construction starts ?!

As long as the adjacent building's foundation is on or is secured to bedrock not an issue.
