Glad to see that theyre moving on their own power.

As we get closer and closer to the launch date, I just hope crews maintain the same speed they've been moving since last year and get things done without having to rip up sections.

I feel like they should be at the point where they're learning from past mistakes and are using those lessons to prep and set rail and whatnot the right way.

Does not include the loop or extension
They are way down the road going into the 2030-2040 timeframe at this time.

I have being say since 2025 we would see an 2028 opening day with a possiblity of December 2027 date subjects to sidewalk and landscaping work. All track work will be done by December, leaving the overhead compilation unknown with a possibility of Q1 2027. This gives about 9 months of testing the full line for an opening date. Testing from Topflight to Eglinton will be underway by the summer and will expand as more of the line is ready for testing.

Michael Lindsay - "I'm proud to announce that we are still 18 months behind schedule and counting, and that we'll be just over 2 years behind schedule by year end; Thanks to the leadership of Phil Verster and our Minister Sakaria and Premier Ford we're on pace to finish not a day over 4 years late!" "I want to congratulate the consortium, the front line crews, and the management and consultants at Metrolinx involved with this project for achieving what no one thought possible; being 100% behind schedule! Just remarkable. "

The Global news story posted by @SaugeenJunction above indicates a construction finish of Spring '28 is now the working target, with 'acceptance' and 'testing/burn in' to follow.

Assuming they hit that target they will be almost exactly 4 years behind, having taken roughly twice as long as than originally projected (8 years instead of 4)

How can one write satire when this is reality?

Mississauga's director of rapid transit, Carolyn Ryall, appeared again before Mississauga city council to share a portion of Metrolinx's update from last week. She said community liaison meetings would resume in May. Her presentation began at the 9:30 minute mark in the video presentation. I've copied a couple of her slides.

And people thought the delays to the Eglinton Line were bad...
Line 5 Eglinton started in 2011, opened in 2026, total of 14.5 years, 5 or 6 years late. ~50 to 60 % late.*

Line 10 Hurontario started in 2020, if it opens in 2028, total of 8+ years, or 4 years late. Close to 100% late.**

*depending on which date you go by. In 2010, it was supposed to be 2020. By 2015, it was supposed to be September 2021.

**construction started early 2020, but other work like finishing design started in late 2019, construction for Line 5 started in late 2011.

The process list has a number of errors or miss leading info and will not go into them.at this time

John St intersection base is poured.
Crossover switch is being installed today At Hillcrest
Concrete Topcoat has been poured for the south haft between Matthew Gate and Burnhamorpe
Concrete being poured on both sides of the tracks between Matthew Gate and Central Pkwy
Concrete curbs are being poured on both side of Paisley Intersection
Holes been vacuum on the north side of Paisley for OS poles foundation and before trackwork can take place
Track crew working on the tracks south of Paisley for some reason as it was completed over a week ago so the rest of the concrete can be pour for it
All the trackwork south of Floradale is now poured.
Rebuilding of the curbs for Floradale Intersection is taking place from low to high.
The Fire Station driveway will become an emergency turning pad that will remove access to/from the plaza but will not be surprise to see drivers using it.
By the look of things, Dundas intersection may see two months of guideway work starting in May or June as crews have clean up the centre of the road north of King St. Dundas will be reduced to a single lane in each direction along with no left turns for all directions.
Work underway for the north haft of Sherobee intersection with no left turns other than northbound with no east access to Sherobee
Hydro working on the new poles at John St as well south of Dundas with 6 lift trucks working on the lines on the west side.

May 2

May 4 will see southbound traffic not maying a left turn at Derry and the only thing I can see why is concrete being pour the rebar frame for the ramp and the area to the south of the ramp to the street. Far to many platform edge panels than what is needed to finish the west platform edge. Only need 40 panels.

May 7 will see northbound traffic not allow to may a left turn at Fairview and saw no sign for the southbound lanes. Either haft of the intersection to be close for the guideway work which is odd considering John St intersection is 2 weeks from completion. Track crew wrapping the rails and placing plastic sheets under the mats,

OS stinging has started with wires on temporary hangers east of Hurontario to the OMSF. More intersection support wires up with more to come..

@JJTheJetPln Rathburn setup and block off for the construction of the guideway and Square One Station. No provision for the guideway to cross Station Gate and that must be part of the loop contract. Province wants the EA and to start construction done in one year for the loop. Brampton will be longer. Also, that ducting at Ray Lawson is History

Small number of personal on site in various locations south of the 401 than last week. The north saw more with major concrete pouring taking place in a few areas from the 401 to Courtney Park

The guideway north of Ray Lawson seeing base material been dump for the base with work taking place to prepared the base for the concrete the southbound curb to be pour next week.

Stock pile of rail and steel mats place in the guideway south of Ray Lawson and north of Mineola to be spread out for the completed guideway base areas.

April 26
Thanks to Canon service department making a adjustment on the R7 and reinstalling the software, I was able to download and see the videos I thought I last for that day.

Thank you for the update. I'm hoping the weather will be nice for my days off so I can take a walk through the corridor and see what everything looks like.

May 7
Just did a quick look at the corridor since this the last day I have the car. Due weather, traffic and construction, couldn't get many shoots and will try later before I loose daylight

All of the guideway will be done by the summer other than intersection including Brampton

Brampton:
The missing curb for the 403 bridge guideway has been poured as a high section as the bridge curbs.

The south section from Ray Lawson to where the guideway ready for track work is being dug out. Rails spread out in the guideway since Monday but nothing else has change.

All the guideway north of Ray Lawson to Steeles has the curbs poured for them other that the one at Ray Lawson.

Curbs have been poured for the two guideways with stakes in place to pour the centre curb.

May 11 will see the south haft of Lancashire Ln intersection close to allow the guideway to be built for it with no left turn northbound.

Mississauga
No overhead work has taken place this week, but a lots of OS poles with no brackets on them from Pinewood to Mineola, Burnhamorpe and Queensway Stations. Missing poles north of the 401 laying on the ground with brackets on them.

Guideway base has been poured south from the 407 off ramp to where the other section has been poured.

All of Topflight is single lane with pillions blocking access to the track area for the last two weeks with crews installing drains and other items as well protection for the OS system.

At this time, all tracks are in place from the OMSF to Kingsbridge with tracks still to be pour for the north haft of Bristol station, the Waltline crossover with various locations needing a topcoat pour especially 3 stations.

All intersections from Topflight to Skyway are back to normal traffic lights intersection with all construction lights and supports removed. Some intersections has transit lights like TTC and too bad not being a bar signal one like ION LRT.

Excavation well underway for Rathburn guideway that started Tuesday after all the road paving, curbs and sidewalk were removed on Monday. Four street light poles need to be remove as the new ones in place to the north.

The south haft of Fairview intersection work is taking place with no left turn allow for northbound. Mot surprise to see this.

The last week saw crews cleaning the guideway to allow concrete to be pour between the track and the curbs that is still on going today.

Saw a few trailers with ties going south on Hurontario on Tuesday and figure they were going to the Pinewood to Mineola and currently been place south of Pinewood with nothing across Pinewood intersection that is ready for it.

Track work taking place from Englewood to the north where the southbound traffic will cross the guideway,

Sone work taking place for both Port Credit Station entrance.

Surprised that no track work has taking place at the 403 north end to Hurontario as the area is all graded and been two weeks since the guideway was ready for track work.

John St intersection tracks are poured in place and waiting a topcoat as well concrete pour for the intersection between the tracks. Mesh framing been place for the area between the tracks. The intersection will be open early next week.

The missing substation for John St is still missing unlike the city posting they were all in place.

The Queensway fire station driveway fully pour,

The north section of Sherobee intersection is dug with concrete being poured from the Queensway toward Sherobee.

Rails spread out in the guideway south of Sherobee.

By July, all tracks will be in place from Square One Drive to the north side of the North Service Rd other than Dundas intersection. Also, from Pinetree to Englewood.

Concrete curbs poured for the guideway for the QEW area between the two ramps.

Fail to note in my last posting, no left turn in place at Derry southbound as work is taking place on the platform edge. Hand saw cutting of the platform is taking place to widened the area for the slab edges to be place. Is this another design error or a forming error?? Will we see this on other platforms built since Derry up to the end of 2025?/

Paisley Intersection still has no track work yet considering it been ready for two weeks for it.

No track work taking place this weekend as all the crews are working on Metrolinx track work.

May 02
First batch shot that day are now up on my site for Mississauga. Brampton will be up shortly.
