I'm not sure what the travel patterns are. If it is rare for people to go from north of MCC to Port Credit GO, that might be fine. If every other vehicle does the loop, it gives people the option of direct service without waiting too long. Otherwise you can transfer at CCTT to the other service pattern and suffer the 10-15 minutes the loop around MCC would take. Maybe service pattern A is a peak service only?

The last data I had on Route 19 before BT502 came to CCTT was 45% for the north of 55% for the south. As to where riders go after getting off at CCTT is unknown and very hard to track. Some transfers to other route while other head to the mall before catching another Route. Some go to the GO station for C route while others head to Mississauga Sheridan College .

What I am seeing these days for ridership is the north having a higher ridership than the south.

Data should route 19 ridership took a 50% drop by Dundas from CCTT and was down to10-15% by the Queensway and one reason the 103 was cut from PC to the Queensway. When school ends for the day at Mineola, it takes 3-5 buses that are a crush load to get on one north of the Queensway.

As i have stated in the past, unless there is a bypass service for the loop, very few of the future residents at Eglinton will use the LRT of the extra traveling time and drive to the Cooksville GO Station.

At one point until service was cut for the 103, buses, ridership were a peak load in both direction at Dundas. You get the odd 103 with peak loads today.

Part 1
Since this is long I have broken it down into parts

Went to pickup a car today so I could a number of things that allow me to see the south end from Elm to Dundas for the first time this year.

A 3 man crew at Elm doing measuring with one of them with a shovel to clear the snow from the various areas they were measuring and no idea what they were measuring. Trap covering a small area down by the walkway with the rest of the tracks open and not sure what they were doing there.

Tracks are in place now from John St to Hillcrest and no idea what stage they are at. The north-east corner and northbound curb lane being dug up and most likely for duct banks or other connects to the guideway when it gets built there.

The only thing on my radar for the day was to have a look at Topflight after I did what I had to to as well drop a camera of at Nikon for repairs and pickup a new DSLR from Henry's that show up 7 months after I order it. Looks like the other one on order is now discontinued.

The work taking place east of the intersection for Topflight is now completed but no idea why there are patches of concrete that has been cut out not only for the completed sections but also part of the intersection with asphalt in those areas. Some of these patches are on both sides of the new trackwork, About haft of Topflight itself has been removed like I saw in January that was saw cut with most of the new trackwork being installed. There are no left turns into the various driveway including the motel requiring driver to do a U-turn to get to them. Once this area is done, the rest of the road up to the intersection will take place. No idea if the intersection will be rebuilt. The work on the OMSF guideway work from the intersection to where the main area that was completed has seen any work that I saw in December.

A small crew working on the Hurontario guideway north of Topflight intersection to just south of the 407 installing duct banks wit a few 100 feet to go to connect to the intersection..

Since I still had daylight and time, decided to have a look at the work taking place at Courtneypark Dr To Prologis Blvd. Tracks being adjusted and brace along with formwork to encase the tracks with crews clearing snow from the guideway that will be trap. The sidewalk for the block on the westside has seen a snow pile and the east side was poorly piled Couldn't any real close of the guideway as the snow banks were too high to climb over them as well the area to the sidewalks.

Crews were digging the tracks out south Prologis Blvd that still haven't been poured yet and will be trap off. Lot of snow shoveling to clear those tracks.

Most of the 401 overpass trackwork has been poured with about 25% trap and the other 25% still waiting to be pour. All tracks fully in place,

Since I still had time and daylight I decided to see what I could see at the south end considering it was not on my radar for this month. This would may this posting too long and will break it down in parts.

I did not look at Brampton as I expected noting has change since December and will leave it to the Brampton folks to fill us in if anything has taken place. I may get up there in March.

I've grown up in Mississauga and I really dislike the stop names on this map. I know Metrolinx came up with terrible names for the Eglinton Line, but that doesn't mean they have to ruin Hurontario too.

e.g. Gardiners Corners? Seriously? WTF? lol Thornwood? I've grown up in Mississauga, almost 44 years, and most of these I've never heard of. The line 5 ones are bad, but I couldn't state whether people from the area would be familiar with those names (like Cedarvale or Keelesdale, for example). But these line 10 ones are terrible and no one would know where they are.

Wayfinding should be made easy by station/stop names. Not turned into a riddle. Is it that hard to learn from better systems?

i am at a lost why rebuild something a second time to only cut those patches and what are they for. The ones in one spot that on both sides of the rail would say liberation but too small like a few on the OMSF guideway. These are just east of the main intersection.

As to your idea for MCC, it could be done by using a crossover east of the station, but will still add traveling time. Again the the station is in the wrong place just like CCTT has been before it was built as well the new one.

Agreed, the names of places in Mississauga are difficult to come up with because most places in Mississauga are fairly nameless. Gardner's Corners (minus the 'i" which is a typo) shows on historic maps for that intersection, and for most people in the GTA "meet me in Fairview" means meet me in the Fairview mall. The issue is that so many places in Mississauga are somewhat nameless. The corner at Eglinton and Hurontario has a high rise cluster, stores, but the only name for the place is "Hurontario at Eglinton" or "the intersection where Emerald is".

Those condo buildings are the various phases of "Pinnacle Uptown".

Honestly, grant them the kudos for building in the area long before the LRT arrived and bestow the naming rights. Name it Uptown Mississauga Station. It intuitively will make sense to everyone as it is "Uptown" from Square 1/Mississauga City Centre.

So Fairview is now Thornwood? I lived in that area for several years and never have I heard of Thornwood.

Plus that diagram is so confusing by placing the loop stops in-line with the Hurontario stops, and it looks like the LRT goes past every loop stop 3 times but only stops once! Where even is the loop? This even looks like it could be a "creative interpretation" of the spur, no loop at all.

Your guess is good as mind as its in the completed January 2026 section and some in the December 2025 section. The cuts are smaller for lubrications' for two of them but not for the rest for the rail locations. As for others between the tracks and other location is head scratching.

Just me $0.02, I think these specific cuts are to avoid strain on the rails as the concrete cures. They had alignment issues that resulted in the rails being ripped and replaced, and chances are they want to do everything to avoid having to waste time on it again.

Or... someone did something in those areas that they needed to dig up and fix, and they left the asphalt as a te.porary thing until it gets warmer to redo it with concrete.
