December 27th - two shots looking north and south from The Queensway intersection. Not much change from December 6th.

@Tim MacDonald you will not notices the changes from you Dec 6th shots, but been a number

The south-east corner was hand form for the corners as well part of the northbound one before paving took place. All of the northbound curb lane has seen curb installed and the lane paved all the way south to the bus stop at the North Service Rd. Most of that northbound lane is closed like the southbound and else where for some unknown reason.

The southbound curb from Paisley to the fire station has been poured with the road paved there as well, but not all of the north-west corner at the Queensway.

Underneath the guideway trap, duct banks and other unities were being installed, but don't how much. Don't know if concrete has been poured for the OS poles foundations, but rebar was in the hole the last I saw for that area.

Paisley still has no let turn southbound with cars making the illegal turn even with police on site. The northbound left turn lane is still open.

Don't expect guideway for Paisley will take place until Spring or when the guideway is fully built along with what other changes to trackwork that needs to take place now.. I know back in September that the guideway for Paisley was to take place first and be follow by King, but that plan disappear until November with the current guideway taking place.

I expect next week we may see the tearing down of the hospital parking structure since the equipment been on site for weeks and its ready to come down.

As for Eglinton, no change with the 403 overpass still not open as well the northbound lane north of the 403.

I was hoping to see some carnage on the parking structure but went home disappointed. All of the stone facade had been removed on my last flyby so I was hoping the structural demolition would have begun.

Shot the site on the 12th and was expecting to see work started, but still the same as your photo. Since its $4 Billion over budget and looking for ways to gut cost, there will be no rush to get the hole in the ground, Cheaper to have the equipment sit there until everything is ago than have work take place and then idle the site again

Tear down of the parking structure began on January 2nd, they've started from the south end. Given the progress they've made so far I would not be surprised to see the structure completely torn down in 2 weeks time.

Maybe they can charge $100 for parking over 1 hour. That will recover the 4 billion in no time.

@ProjectEnd is there anything you want to tell us all about your extensive travel on GO Trains lately?

At least photographically, this did not seem to be your week to week norm, before December............... now you're on every GO Line to everywhere! Its the Great PE Tour!

LOL

Just curious.

Ok, this might get a little messy. I'll try and post these logically but I shot varying sections between Port Credit station and north of Eglinton between December 27th and 31st. Some sections were shot multiple times on different days so lighting and snow cover may vary. In some cases, I may have been shooting another subject but enough of Hurontario is visible that I've included it anyway. Both the Mini2 and Mini3pro aircraft were used. I'll probably break these up into three or four posts.

Not sure if Drum has some photos he could share, I can't because I was driving, but the intersections of Hurontario/Bristol, Hurontario/Matheson, and I believe it was Hurontario/Brittania how have the poles up for the station stop design. They're wrapped up, but they're there.

Just curious, but how come the Mary Fix Creek revitalization was included as part of the Hurontario LRT construction? Before I took a further look at Port Credit GO and seeing the photos from this forum, I thought that work was for giving the LRT a ROW on the side of the road for longer duration than just right before the rail overpass and leaving the centre of the road to reach the stop at the station.

The design is very integrated, so it makes sense - and it doesn't seem to have held up anything, given the amount of work still ongoing along the rest of the alignment. The whole thing seems rather pokey compared to the speed that Finch West and the surface section of Eglinton were built.

I've not been paying particular close attention to this project. For some reason I thought that the line was going into a terminal station that was oriented east-west - north of the GO station (perhaps that was an earlier design?). I'm glad to see the station under the GO tracks. That bodes well for an extension down (along?) Lakeshore.
