They're going into the Eaton Centre, in part of the former Nordstrom space. Not here.

They're opening at the Eaton Centre. I doubt they want to have 2 stores about 2 km apart.Simon. Since they were looking for a presence downtown. Now they have the opportunity.
It's on five levels so it would be very hard to split. Multi-level retail doesn't work here the way it does in Asia, unfortunately...How large is the space in question and are we talking about a single retail outlet or the space will be divided ?

Who is even looking for that much space these days?
Ikea?
Costco?
I mean, you could always just...you know, say it. <3No and No.
I think I'm going to stop teasing now, since I'm narrowing the options significantly.

I have fond memories of shopping there and even at Simpson's before it was converted to the Bay's flagship store. But I think its days are numbered ... on most days there seems to be more staff than shoppers. It must be a real albatross for HBC. Construction of the Ontario Line right outside only makes things worse for the store. That's why it's mindboggling that a single tenant could occupy all that space at the ex Bay store at Yonge & Bloor.I walked through the Eaton Centre Bay this week and it's depressing. A bunch of the escalators aren't working, and the subway connection level has lost all of the food space.

But the deal isn't done, quite yet.
