The province was hyping the Thunder Bay jobs ... I'm not sure what would have changed. I'd think they'd be putting the deal at risk if they were to pull that kind of stunt.
Alstom has a contract to rebuild existing BiLevels in Thunder Bay, so they have work. I’m not sure if they also have a hand in building Mk Vs. I did see on Radio Canada that they are doing assembly of Mk Vs in La Pocatiere, though.

I would not be at all surprised if this was the "opening day" photo op (perhaps Mr. Ford will even get to sit in the drivers' cabin and ring the gong) without any of the risk of actually doing it on opening day.
It is. The Premier and Mayor, alongside the Transportation Minister and Infrastructure Minister (since Infrastructure Ontario was involved with Line 5), will unveil a plaque.

Hmm, Wynford Station. Is that the official nomenclature then?

I might be getting a bit ahead of myself, but with Line 5 finally opening, I’ve started wondering about the western extension. Has the TTC released any information on likely bus route changes once it opens? The main alignment has been known for years now, which is why I’m asking at this stage.

I can't imagine there being much in the way of changes considering I don't believe any of the stops will have any off-street bus loops except Renforth which already has the BRT station. Not sure what changes could be made considering all of the intersecting routes don't appear to be in need of splitting. Looking at the map I guess the only change that could occur is getting rid of the 73B but that's about it to me.

Nothing official has been release. Will likely result in a lot less changes, suspect most would be around jane station, and maybe the 927 and ofc the airport express busses. Maybe a new 52 g terminus

The big change would be, say goodbye to the 32 completely as it would be replaced completely by the LRT.

They might need to keep a parallel service as the stations are 1km apart.
Not really as there isn’t much there between the stops on the western stretch.

What? We’ve all seen the footage of Line 6 waiting for cars to finish turning left. That’s the easiest signal priority to close off.
signal priority applies to any measure for traffic signals to react to incoming transit vehicles and provide them priority; it has no definition of how much prioritization or the conditions

5 and 6 do have signal priority, it can hold greens for a limited time. You are looking for phase rotation, which is also a form of signal priority.
