Don’t we all want that source to be wrong but barely any trains is pointing to a bigger issue.
Seemingly yes. One of the Longest rapid transit transit projects in North America! At this point is it safe to say this is the most botched and blundered transit project in Canadian history?
Definitely. I think Hurontario is a promising contender for second place. At this point is it safe to say this is the most botched and blundered transit project in Canadian history?
It does seem to have stolen the unwanted crown from the Otrain. At this point is it safe to say this is the most botched and blundered transit project in Canadian history?
They all want to dethrone the Confederation LineDefinitely. I think Hurontario is a promising contender for second place.
Calgary's Green Line is up there too, if you're counting poor planning.
It does seem to have stolen the unwanted crown from the Otrain.
It's beginning to feel like this and Line 6 are never going to open. I mean I know they will open, but this is nuts
Some of the mess they did on the Confederation Line was unrepairable like filling the sewer line with concrete. It is really different to out do that project. The O Train is a big disappointment but at least it opened and the extensions are being built pretty fast.
And just imagine the day that the real construction actually gets started with the Hamilton LRT, that one will find a way to be monumentally worse than both Eglinton and Hurontario.Someone said that Hurontario's delay is proportionally worse than Eglinton's. And we still have lots of time for even more delays on Hurontario. So I sadly think Hurontario will take the crown :-/
One danger sign of "worse and trying to hide it" is how the Ontario government was gleeful about doing an inquiry around the confederation line and even made a big deal about threatening to not fund future extensions due to mismanagement, yet has shut down any attempt of a similar inquiry for Eglinton. This is despite the project being old enough to blame any problems on the previous Liberal governmentSome of the mess they did on the Confederation Line was unrepairable like filling the sewer line with concrete. It is really different to out do that project.
Who knows, they might have done something worse and are trying to hide it.
well at least for line 10 you can clearly see its under construction so its more stomachable....here it just seems like they are trying to find every excuse possible to delay the opening when visibly its all done, turned on and ready to go.And just imagine the day that the real construction actually gets started with the Hamilton LRT, that one will find a way to be monumentally worse than both Eglinton and Hurontario.
Metrolinx is a failed organization in every single way imaginable.
But in any case, say we can all say buh-bye to the Eglinton line opening in 2025. It's not happening.
Shhhhhh! You'll hurt the feelings of the Metrolinx employees/execs lurking about! To them, Eglinton Crosstown is one of the mOsT aMbiTiOuS LRT projects in the whole wide world. Such a project is well deserving of a $13 billion+ cost.Metrolinx is a failed organization in every single way imaginable.
