FYI ^^ this 2nd photo is a fake, Costco has not announced anything yet and there are no signs up yet.
What even is the point of this slop? Who bothered to create it? Who enjoys this garbage? Love those 'mountains' located just over the horizon in...Georgian Bay...

Good eye (the background hills are wrong for the location) and it seems the source (Wasaga Beach Chronicle) seems a little dodgy and appears to be simply and aggregator of social media and bloggers. However, in spite of no official announcement, CTV has reported on it, the mayor has disclosed they have been approached by "a large retailer" for the site and the local Simcoe.com news site has published an apparent site plan diagram submitted by the property owner. It seems like a very poorly kept secret.

If/when they do highway 26 bypass of Stayner I wonder how it would look and if they could accommodate an entrance.
I suspect any Stayner bypass would lead into this divided alignment that was only constructed a few years ago.

It would be highly unusual for public funds (the MTO) to build direct access to benefit a retailer, especially when there is a traffic circle nearby. Since it is a divided alignment, on a curve, there is no way they are going to allow an at-grade access. The best that might be expected down the road is the traffic circle to be expanded given increased traffic flow. Between the (potential) retailer, the casino and apparently a hotel, along with town traffic, it may become beyond design capacity.

I believe you are correct about their not being accessed directly off of 26 if you look the road that is going into the casino currently is being extended across in order to join on to Lyon Court as for 26 bypassing stayner I could see down the road a divided alignment being created from the roundabout over to the lights just on the other side of Stayner by the new foodland but I believe that is at least 10 years off

Oh yeah, the fact that it's being worked on is 100% true. I'm just saying there's been no official public announcement of it from Costco, which would have to happen before any signage gets put up. Once there's an official press release and it shows up on Costco's site as an upcoming location (https://www.costco.ca/new-locations.html) I'd assume we'll start to see more obvious things on the job site.

GOD! When we cannot trust posts from LinkedIn what are we going to do. The source looked good, but with a second look man was I dupped.
This kind of stuff is starting to become a very big problem and I hate it. It didn’t take long for generative AI to start being able to generate non-gibberish text in images, and it’s concerning to think about what images these models will be able to produce a year from now, they will probably be almost indistinguishable from real ones.

I've lived in Collingwood my entire life 33 years and whenever I first glanced on it the only reason I questioned it was because I was literally on the entirety of 26 yesterday and didn't see any signs and have been today then I studied the image further and saw the discrepancies that you're talking about that you're talking about
