Is it just me, or does the angled shape of Concord Sky make it seem less tall than it actual is? Of course, it's girth doesn't help.
I think this will look very imposing on the local skyline when it's done (and not necessarily in a good way, we'll see ...). The girth, especially seen from the east (west view will be partially blocked by 8 Elm) will make it seem taller than it is.

@interchange42 & @Paclo: Wondering if it's at all possible to place a hot pink asterisks in the DB header to note any tower that is 300 metres or above. And pretty please! <3

Sorry to say, but hot pink asterisks are currently subject to punitive tariffs, so we'd have to quadruple your annual memberships dues to cover that, and we don't think that would be received well.

I'm very curious how things are going to shape up when this tower and the one across the street both finish. The car traffic there is already crazy. For non-drivers, it would not be an issue though 😆
I’m not an expert but is it possible to build an underground car tunnel under the Yonge street? And maaaybe make some parts of Yonge st for pedestrians only?

I'm definitely not an expert. I do believe the majority of the Yonge Subway Line is directly under Yonge Street. So, that would be a no go. It's just a bad set of circumstances from Toronto's early days of narrow side streets. There is just so much density on some of these side streets that were never designed for it.

Ooooor crazy thought - what about some pretty pedestrian bridges? Perhaps one could go from Concord Sky kitty corner across to the Ikea?

Sunday set…

If I counted correctly, this may be the beginning of the ‘narrowization’ of the tower, seen on the east side where that form is located. It’s narrowed once already several floors up, and this may be the next one. This is going to look almost as close to a pencil tower as we may see from a southern or northern vantage. 😮

Glazing almost extended to the south side.
