I push you to complain to the security company and 311
Security asked if I wanted them to take a photo of me with the CN tower! Guess they aren’t all bad

Full disclosure, I felt compelled after your earlier post to do something about what happened and filed a POPS complaint with the city and a complaint about that particular guard to Hines, Ivanhoé Cambridge and CIBC's security desk and guest services.

Not sure if your improved experience was a result of that or if you just happened to get someone who understands the function of a POPS space isn't exclusivity to the private development. I'm happy to see the trees planted, thanks for going up there and getting photos.

@WB62 It looks like this had an effect:

I wanted to formally apologize for your experience at the elevated park within CIBC SQUARE. We don’t condone this type of behavior from our security team. We endorse customer service and encourage the public to attend and experience the park. The security guard involved has been reminded of the properties values and understanding and design of the park for the community. This unfortunate incident was discussed with the entire security program to ensure this does not occur again in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Regards

Robert Lovrencec

Director of Security

CIBC SQUARE

I encourage anyone who has a poor experience at CIBC Square to reach out to Mr. Lovrencec directly. I surely will.

That said, I don't have confidence that the guard in question can be remediated given his display of hostility, but I guess this will discourage the security team from placing him in a public facing position, lest they incur future legal liability knowing of his disposition.

Went by this morning and again in the afternoon, all these trees were planted today:

This pile was brought up too, it looks like there’s a larger variety of tree species coming to this side, I don’t think the other side has any evergreen trees:

Probably has been asked here before, but it looks like there would be barely any clearance between the new park deck and the existing train shed roof 😬. If USRC ever gets electrification, it appears this would need to be torn down to fit the overhead catenary wires?

A sign for uh... signage is up.

Odd that they have to post this but it'll go up in the park about here:

Still no sign of signs for signage on the building's façade. Also wondering what's happened with the GO sign and whatever sculpture is going in the Bay plaza.

Maybe I missed this...but is Phase II planning to get an all glow top as well?

Looks like things are ready for sod. Come on guys, go all the way and sod the whole area, that patch of existing grass is in pretty bad shape.

I walked by. The soil they added was to level it with the existing grass. I'm pretty sure they're going to roll sod over the whole thing evenly. Lot's of plants, including flowers were added throughout the garden. This is going to look great in a week or two.

Temp bannisters were added, awaiting glass panels, I assume.
