That's really sad. Indie Ale House was my favourite of the Junction craft brewers. The Breakfast Porter is among my favourite beers, and the Rabbit of Caerbannog IPA is great. Their burgers were amazing.

I went there countless times with friends and family over the years, and I really hope they find a new location in the area. It's exceptionally unlikely that whatever replaces them will be as good.
I've grabbed beers to go many times, but I've never eaten the food there. I heard the fried chicken is amazing. Hopefully I can sample it before the ever-present scourge of greed destroys this beloved business.

Not quite sure this qualifies, but Goose Island Brewhouse restaurant on Esplanade is closing December 31 per their Instagram post. It seems they will continue to brew...

Hmmm, not a huge surprise as it never seemed all that busy whenever I'd saunter past in my booty shorts. Also, they never had much buzz among the craft beer geekdom.

Interesting given that the craft beer industry has been struggling. How was nobody grabbed the old Duggan's location yet though? It's been empty for years now and makes for a natural setting...

That old Duggans spot is a mystery. They don't even openly advertise a for lease sign, although I'm sure the landlord would accept a good offer if someone showed enough interest. I've been to each iteration that Duggans went through the years, as they gradually worsened. So it's sad to walk by that corner and beautiful building sit vacant. The stretch of Queen has several strangely dormant or empty spots. The Parkdale Drink is another weird one. Pretty sure that bar hasn't operated in nearly a decade but nothing is changing with it.

And the Cadillac Lounge - it's especially painful now that I actually have one! I'd feel like a total f****** rock star pulling up to the Cadillac Lounge in that thing, but of course it can't be...

Two Loons tap room and brewery at 122 Brock Ave, just north of the train tracks, half way between Queen and Dundas West. Looks like a recent-ish new place

This is owned by the former head brewer of Shacklands (which closed a year after he left). A few of their brews have been in the LCBO for a while (brewed on contract), and they have a consistent tap at the Only and a few other bars. The brewer's specialty is Belgian styles, so hopefully some of the Shacklands recipes are resurrected as this style is underrepresented.
