A brief but illuminating illuminated view of the light at the top from... the other night...

What a difference with the townhouses. It's like hardwood floors being revarnished after being covered with smoke-stained carpet for 50 years. I also like that the old hand-painted sign on the St Nicolas St. facade was restored.View attachment 638392
It's a nice touch but it was recreated, not restored, as was the entire 2-storey brick facade.

Today. Someone mentioned a few pages back that this tower would have CentreCourt’s most luxurious lobby. I couldn’t really take pictures of the lobby without walking in and risking being questioned on why I’m taking pictures when I don’t know anyone living there, but I can tell you it’s done and has a baby grand piano in it. So I guess occupancy has started. Anyway, here’s a picture of the upper part of the tower.

The toffee colour of that crown feature is throwing the building for me visually. Yeah, I get that it is "balanced" as it has two of those facing east and west respectively. It's just...I dunno, a bit too off putting, IMO.
