So I was looking for updates on this site, and what do you know, it turns out the Brass Rail (or at least the building) is now part of our rich heritage in Toronto: Notice of Passing of Designation By-law 112-2024 - 699 and 707 Yonge Street

Maybe they should incorporate some brass poles in the lobby of the new reception.... it could definitely be a nod to the heritage of the site.

The proposed development application is to permit a 64-storey mixed-use building, containing 514 dwelling units and 1,000 square metres of non-residential gross floor area and 35,131 square metres of residential gross floor area. The proposal includes heritage conservation on the site.
