Taken 30 March. Almost finished and then there is only the parking lot on the northeast corner of Strachan/Lakeshore left. I have included images of the future Liberty Street stretching west and the Fort York Armoury that I hope can be utilized for events that will further enhance this newish neighbourhood. Strachan Village?!

It's the developer, not the architect.

First and foremost, in this case it has to be.

Most architects can produce capable designs.

When did you become such a beacon of positivity? Not sure I can agree w/that, unless by competent we mean 'unlikely to fall down in the near term'.

And especially when you see a prominent firm make a crap design, it's the developer cheaping out. This has been explained many times on this forum.

Yes and yes......... though........really this is a special kind of awful. Its not the very worst we've seen but its very sub-par..........

For HP, this is reputation damaging level crap. I'd ask to have the firm name taken off it..........and put 'Alan Smithee' instead. LOL

For those who don't get the reference:

^I guess it was a paycheck for them. And the tower would look so much better here if it wasn't for the shite material, IMO.

The whole area around the Liberty/Strachan intersection just lacks any colour at all. Extremely depressing.
Liberty Village is a Urban Planning disaster. The worst part is they have such a good base to build something amazing. Now when I go there I feel trapped when I go there. I don't much feel "liberty" or being in a village.

It's the developer.
I figure it might be... Is it just me or they literally change a bunch of the design? The balcony was supposed to be going all the way, but now there is the gap on the width-side. The literal shape changed on the white portion of the building, and it isn't even white any longer. If this are all caused by the builder.... that's awful.
