The vertical pinstriping looks quite elegant on this. White fins against black glass is a nice counterpoint to all the green glass in the area.
What an incredible shotIn the distance, seems close to topping off

I don't know if I want to ask but how did you manage to get this vantage point looks almost too close to be from a droneIn the distance, seems close to topping off

The "architecture" (not sure how you're defining that term in the context of a mass market condo) is pretty good here. What are you talking about?“No need to ruffle your feathers — it’s just a Rezoning submission. Let’s get the buildable envelope we need into the height maps, and you’ll have plenty of time to let the architecture take shape at Site Plan.”

Womp womp.

Fair enough, but I've been in this game long enough to know that if it's not absolute garbage it's probably ok (as this is). Brutally low bar, yes, but that's where we're at, unfortunately. You kind of nailed it in your last sentence there. The proportions of the podium are heavy-handed, and there are tons of questionable detailing choices. But the biggest issue for me beyond the sheer scale of the podium is the way the different masses are resolved into eachother. That lump atop the podium expressed as part of the tower’s design language (with a strange continuous setback notched out below) is one of the most questionable choices but there are many. I design this type of building for a living so I am aware of the limitations of mass-market / condo architecture and the challenge of navigating the process. To me, this project is lazy and not well executed, even given those constraints.
Per my original post - it doesn’t look like there was any clever reshaping within the zoning envelope. The design is a zoning envelope.
