Preliminary Report on this one heads to the January 5th meeting of EYCC:

Some things the City is looking at (from the above):

I haven’t seen any updates for this project recently. Do we know if there’s been any progress ?

Wonder if the recent Federal announcements related to Purpose-Built Rentals will push up the timeline on this project. If it's still staying as majority rental, that is.

Any updates? Seems like this project has been quite silent. I've noticed on the broader scale, the York-South Weston area has not seen much momentum but many many exciting proposals. Especially around Weston GO and the Mount Dennis LRT station. Many proposals go back years and having followed them since, many have just not generated any movement :(

Be assured, if members have updates, we're going to share them.

That said, in case I missed something.....I checked. And no, the zoning is still wide open, and there is no SPA submission. No new docs in years.

Since this got a bump anyway, an updated AIC link which anyone can use to check up on this as time passes:

Additional revisions, via the cover letter:
• Height Adjustments: The tallest building has been reduced from 49 storeys to 45 storeys, and podium heights have been lowered to align with the Mount Dennis Secondary Plan
• Enhanced Mix of Land Uses: The amount of non-residential space has been increased, and a pre-school use has been introduced to support the creation of a complete community.
• Parks & Public Realm Improvements: Two new public parks have been introduced, including one which incorporates an additional parkland over-dedication secured as an in-kind CBC contribution to create two significant on-site parks, fulfilling parkland dedication requirements and prioritizing on-site parkland as directed by the Secondary Plan.
• Site Design Enhancements: The privately owned publicly accessible space (POPS)in the southern portion of the site has been removed, and the food store has been relocated from the northern to the southern portion of the site to improve site organization.

Photography Drive & Keelesdale Road will be used by TTC buses to get to the bus terminal for Mt. Dennis Station (Line 5). Will the roadway face any construction barricades during the construction of the buildings?

Finally...........

Been watching the back and forth on this one for ages...........

I mostly like this............the total amount of park area is even ok'ish.........

But why on earth are they dividing the parkland into 2 parcels? The shape of the site allows the exact same density but with the 2 park blocks consolidated at the north end in a rectangular shape, then you're at least able to get to about 1 acre.

Still small, but much more flexible. The southern park here make no real sense to me.
