Honestly kudos to this team, as an initial property to plunk a 30 storey building down, I think it's a bit bold (especially when you have the James S property in your pocket). Hopefully they will get a great response on this one and that will propel the other.

Kudos to them too; I called them to provide respectful feedback about the third party contractors stopping in the bicycle lane, and I received a call back, and they were incredibly courteous and indicated they would speak to those responsible for keeping an eye on things.

So far a good player in the game. I have no problem supporting developers who have respect for the community and build good buildings while making their money. In fact I encourage it because if you can make money without stepping on the community you deserve a lot of respect and trust. The only other developer with as much respect in my opinion is Core Urban.

Yoke has also not done anything heinous so far.

Looking forward to seeing this one go up, and the people in the area which I'm sure will support the International Village (which badly needs a not sketchy open until 2am bar).

If you see this, please take photos and either send them to me, or report it to by-law. Because the lane blockage is directly attributable to the development though, the city can usually fine the developer directly and it's more than the fine for parking in the bike lane because it's about site plan control.
Thanks for this. If it happens again, I'll try to take a photo. Haven't seen it occur again in the intervening couple of weeks.
