Confirming that there are no signs posted at the Esso or associated store regarding impending demolition or a notice of closure. I stopped by yesterday after work.

I walked by on Friday after work. No signs or indication of a date of closing!

No permits have even been submitted here. Nothing is going anywhere soon.

I certainly hope it stays, it's a nice church. I'd much rather see the big retail building demo'd instead...but that's my personal local bias kicking in.

With the sudden closure of Whole Foods, you might just get your wish!

There are a lot of other businesses facing onto Bayview to consider though.

Tough call, should it stay or should it go go?

Well, today I asked about the closing date for 1840 Bayview.

I was told it was to close last June but was delayed for a year.

Let’s see what happens in June 2026.
