I don't care all that much for One Bennett Park. It's sophisticated elegance compared to the blocky 101 Spadina. Chicago is full of schlock in part to Lucien Lagrange. Something is out there.

So approximately 28% sold after a big marketing push (I was being targeted with digital ads almost every other day last year) - and we're talking about a decent looking building as well.

This is exactly what I mean when I say anything being announced recently will either never be built or won't start for another 5 years until the pre-construction market recovers.
 
The developer spoke about their approved height increase on the Toronto Under Construction podcast (50:40 mark) and said it's nice to have the approval but building it would require them to have the buyers for the extra density too, so it's a hypothetical increase. Given where they are with this project, I assume they will wait to see if the market picks up before going taller.
 
I noticed the billboard they put up on site was stripped. Unsure if it's due to vandalism or if they'll update with another rendering. The billboard structure is still standing though.
 
It seems the first 9 floors are becoming a hotel. Does anyone know if it will stay at 40 storeys or be increased to 50 as proposed?

Just making sure I’m not missing something—maybe they couldn’t sell enough units and decided to turn the extras into a hotel. The unit count is dropping, not magically staying the same. So this 50-storey ‘proposal’—is it just wishful thinking, or do they actually have to follow through?

The change is approximately 369 units down to 245 units.
 
Units are dropping from 369 to 245—that’s a massive change, not a tiny tweak. So this 50-storey ‘proposal’… is it actually real, or just something to make the pitch look fancier?
