Do we have a timeline for those two projects?Switch Tower and possibly the Connect Centre one. The rest downtown are either mid-rises or office tower conversions, unless we get some surprise announcements.

Switch apparently should start this year, based on what CBRE said in a report last year. Connect Centre might happen this year too but no timelines yet I think, besides wanting to get started as soon as possible from what other forum members have mentioned.Do we have a timeline for those two projects?
And you’re blocked….enough PEG’er talk…..Maybe that's the one, thanks!
3 more high-rises breaking round, and Edmonton will be at Winnipeg's pace with 6! Sorry, that comment is for Maclab lol.
Actually the number of units is not bad, maybe a lot of it is not as visible because they are conversions, but they still count.Switch apparently should start this year, based on what CBRE said in a report last year. If all goes well, we should have more than a thousand units break ground this year, either from new construction or from conversions. We've got almost 500 units of conversions happening already or soon from three projects (CN Tower, Highfield Place and McKenney) plus whatever comes from the WSP building and the Standard on Jasper (no clue how many units are planned for the latter one yet.)
Why don’t you start a Winnipeg thread under miscellaneous same as Jasper Grande Prairie etc. I for one would be interested in keeping abreast on developments there.Maybe that's the one, thanks!

Yeah I've been pretty vocal about the fact we have a substantial number units coming soon, and that's not even counting new surprise projects.Actually the number of units is not bad, maybe a lot of it is not as visible because they are conversions, but they still count.
As I recall, there was a lot of whining about no conversions happening here a while ago compared to another supposedly important city and now we are catching up some, without big subsidies.
Doesn’t Averton have a 12 story’ish proposal just north the Mercury on one of those 2 empty lots? Is this the “150 units” that are “going to start in 2026.”80% leased apparently.
Also mention of 150 townhomes in Whikwentowin by averton.

That's 150 units of street-oriented townhouses across multiple sites, i.e. not (most of) a 12-story tower.Doesn’t Averton have a 12 story’ish proposal just north the Mercury on one of those 2 empty lots? Is this the “150 units” that are “going to start in 2026.”
Well at least we got some dialog from Maclab on the future on Parks 2 - the first time we’ve heard anything.
“It’s (the second tower) been designed and we’re just waiting for the first tower to fill up and stabilize and then we’ll be able to make a decision on the next tower,” said Bill Blais, Maclab’s president and CEO. “We’ll wait until we’re closer to full to make some decisions.”

In the bit you just quoted, it says "around 124th Street."So not 150 units downtown?
We believe it’s an important piece of the puzzle and continue to plan for future projects around 124th Street (2026 construction starts) where we will introduce over 150 units of street-oriented townhousing with all the features that people have come to love in our other communities in the region,” said Lanni
This is one:So which lots does Averton own in Wihkwentowin?
I would call that a sucess.80% leased apparently.
Anecdotally speaking I have a view of the north face and it does look like it is well occupied80% leased apparently.
