Yes, they're slowly removing any mention of the Elks. It would be utterly stupid if they went back to the original name, but I would hardly be surprised. I agreed with the Elks being sold, but I would have preferred a more forward-thinking (younger) owner, rather than someone buying them for his memories of the teams of the 70s and 80s.

Let’s hope it stays that way - I like the Elks name and branding more than I ever liked the Eskimos, and I grew up with that team name.

You bet Ken. They are restoring their motto and are still officially The Elks, but have EE more prominent and if fans choose to call them Eskimos, Elks or EE then so be it.
