Eurofins facility expansion on Speakman drive. I don't know if it is worthy of its own thread but mods can move the post if necessary.
So, capping off 2024 with some stats. 2024 was an ugly year: 21.4hrs/121 flights/363kms. That's less than half my best year ever in 2022 when I flew something like 46hrs.
The good news is that somehow, I managed to set a new monthly personal best in December with 8.9hrs flown over 47 flights, eclipsing my previous best ever month (May 2023) when I logged 7.5hrs. Who knew so much December flying could happen with the least amount of daylight?
Now-December 27th 2024. Aside from the new garage that has been built on hospital property, note that one of the office towers to the right of the condo buildings is gone.
225 Sherway Gardens drive on the left, 700ish Evans on the right. Area with the fencing is where an office building once stood until demolition in 2024.
I'll continue the series tomorrow as Win11 on my small screen laptop seems to be problematic tonight. Time to punt and watch a little TV!
Seemingly lost section on the Mississauga/Etobicoke border. The empty lot in the foreground appears to have been vacant as far back as 1954 after looking at some of the aerial photos. Where all the trailers are parked had been the site of the gas plant which had been under construction as seen in the 2012 photo below that was scuttled about a decade ago.
Looking south at Ogden ave. Low rise industrial units in the foreground will eventually be demolished and the land used for the proposed Rangeview development. In the background on the left steam rises from one of the sewage treatment facility ponds. The vacant tract of land is the new Lakeview development. The orange tarp is part of the excavation for the new Harbourwalk condo at Lakeview.
180 degree view to the north is the disgrace that is 1041 Lakeshore. The site has been like this for more than a decade now after a failed townhome construction start. 10 storey condo supposedly to be built here.
I posted this in the Toronto Then and now thread some weeks back but wasn't quite happy with my angle. I shot this again today and I think this one works much better. My older Mini2 was used instead of my Mini3pro so It is more wide angle than the original shot which was taken in portrait orientation and seemingly with a telephoto lens.

I didn't even know this cemetery existed unless flying over it. Located off Dickson rd (east of Mavis, south of The Queensway) it is St. John's Lithuanian cemetery.
