100% And it can't even be argued that it's a unique location with things to do, because DT has the same stuff, or more—concerts, bars, sports, casino, restaurants, spas. I guess you can't have a cigar bar DT, but other than that, does RC have anything that really sets it apart?
Another thing downtown has is hundreds of empty hotel rooms…oh wait 🤔 but let’s not let reality get in the way of our dreams for a new hotel. Look up the Alberta gov website for hotel occupancy and you can see that downtown Edmonton is one of the worst performing regions. Here’s July and August last year. What am I missing that is leading people to believe we are in desperate need of a new downtown hotel?

Well from where the hotel is going to be and all the amenities nearby the statements will be somewhat true and if they keep developing the area in and around the Resort they could very well be a type of 10 minute community.

I guess it could turn out that way, but I envision this turning into another Currents of Windermere, or ESC but with a gold tower. Hopefully I'm wrong.
