I salute Enoch Cree for being a leader. Unlike the other developers who say: can't build concrete towers in Edmonton. Can't build hotels in Edmonton. Can't do nothing. They are showing the business community that if you build something unique, you can make things work.

Downtown needs a new big hotel - Doesn't need to be a JW. Watch many conferences end up going to Enoch because it will be a new and exciting facility. So much shortsightedness within the business community in the city.

100% And it can't even be argued that it's a unique location with things to do, because DT has the same stuff, or more—concerts, bars, sports, casino, restaurants, spas. I guess you can't have a cigar bar DT, but other than that, does RC have anything that really sets it apart?

I agree Enoch is a leader and those dithering about a new hotel downtown are short sighed. They will draw some events, but hopefully not to the detriment of downtown hotels. Someone going to a concert at Rogers is probably not going to be staying there.
