Balconies look amazing.

The southern portion of the podium looks a bit peculiar. Like its the face of a school or some civic type of building. I don't dislike it. Just saying it stands out.
Yeah I hate the beige brick (I hate all beige brick). I think they were trying to match the registry building but they were off by a lot color-wise

Yeah something like that.

Perhaps they should have went with arched windows in addition to going a little darker on the brick.

In this very rare instance, I would have preferred a grey or charcoal coloured brick to let the Registry Office stand out, but if they were going to try to match the buff brick, I agree arched windows would have been a good choice.

A month later, does anyone have any updates on this? No official announcement through social media that they've finished construction, although they're seemingly starting to bring in residents for move-in already (as per their website)

On topic, what a fantastic project. I do hope that the accompanying bistro will do well and get people to walk around the area, although admittedly I suspect that it will be quite overpriced. That part of Nicholas Street seems to be a rather underutilized area for the ByWard Market, so hopefully we start getting more foot traffic outside of that central core (of the Market). It won't massively change the ByWard Market, but it should be a small step in improving the overall area

It won't change overnight but this is a big step in the right direction.

The Kettle Island Bridge is the last step to making this stretch of Nicholas a pleasant urban experience.

Its nice having so much connected to you don't have to go outside.

Apartments
Rideau Centre
Westin
Conference Centre

Awesome streetfront. I hope the temporary parking garage redevelopment gets something nice as well, this area could really be something with Arts Court and the Jail Hostel mixed with new high quality developments.

Really hope Kettle Island Bridge is built so we can pedestrianize two more blocks of Nicholas. Obviously Besserer and Daly will need to stay, and hopefully the parking structure built in 2006 will be gone to remove that entrance/exit.
