Agreed and with all the headaches, I can see McDonalds washing their hands of it.

It is right up there with Yonge and Grosvenor.
The amount of business they do is colossal though. They receive a full 52’ truck delivery every second evening. The headaches are a lot less now than during the pandemic too. I doubt they are going anywhere.

It was the beginning of the end when they got rid of the fries outside 😂

True but with only 500 meters between the two locations, I can see the Queen Street location closing.

They would not open a new location so close if they wanted to keep the old one open. They generally do that when there is reason to like impending closure or required upgrades.

Yonge/Adelaide is within 500 m of both Eaton Centre and Queen/Church. There's less than 300m between Yonge/Grenville and Yonge/Wellesley locations. I don't think this criteria carries much water.

Yea look at Sherway Gardens they have 3 McDonald’s in close proximity 1 is in the Walmart the other is a stand alone store literally 100 steps away and the other is in Sherway Gardens

I am here to say this is a big tangent about McDs.....I mean this is a thread about restaurants, not dispensers of questionable food-like product.

Was it any good? Never got to try it. I'm loyal to Island Foods/Roywoods.

I've never tried either. I would usually just stick with Jerk King or Scotty Bons for casual takeaway Caribbean food. Recently went to Chubby's at Portland & King this summer. It's like a fancier restaurant version for the King West crowd.

The 647 College Street locations seems like a tough spot, it was previously Night Owl and a bunch of other things in the past. Lots of competition nearby.

Scotty Bons is also pretty awesome!

The owners behind Mississauga’s Honey Soul Food are opening a new Toronto restaurant called The Hive. It'll be located in the former Saving Grace spot at 907 Dundas St W. Opening date is Sept 28th, with a soft launch a few days earlier.

Not disputing that!
I just hope you've also tried Jerk King not far from their Bloor location. Both great places for jerk chicken, but I prefer Jerk King (Bloor & Bathurst) for chicken legs & rice and Scotty Bons (Bloor & Spadina) when I am in a mood for a sandwich with Jerk chicken meat.
