When is Queens Quay E actually going to be done being extended? It's going to be so hard for people to go from this area to the Lower Port Lands during the next decade of construction unless that pedestrian bridge is done ASAP...

Forget about the renderings. They weren’t real.

No kidding.

While tweaks were always to be expected and VE to be watched for; I'm not particularly happy w/the fact I see little resemblance between the winning submission in a design competition and the result we're getting here. Sigh.

It's not terrible, by any means, but it really isn't even close to the same, far less creative and interesting.

On that note, I popped by here to give @Paclo and probably @interchange42 some busy work, LOL

Resubmissions here for ABA and SPA that affect multiple buildings.

If I have time I'll heavy l come stuff in the relevant threads, but I'll leave the heavy lifting to staff

I'm most dissapointed with the swapping to Wallman for the block along Queens Quay. THat's extremely disconcerting as Wallman really struggles to create authentic pedestrian experiences at grade - and it doesn't look good in the updated plans either. I was already doubtful of that blocks massing from the outset but gave it the benefit of the doubt given the team and architect involved.. now I'm 100% less confident in it's delivery.

If you mean the Equinox Bridge, I too am keen to see it built though I doubt it will be essential for people and WT still plan to erect it in 2026 - long before there will be anyone living south of the Keating. I saw that but it seems only staging is being done until late 2026! Who knows when the actual street will be completed. Add the Quayside buildings and whatever else is planned by Parliament Slip and the whole area will be a construction zone for the next decade...
