They are desperately trying to stack the deck in their favour though. And I wouldn't be surprised they'll continue to escalate these shenanigans as that time gets closer...
...but I will say is their behavior is indicative of how aware they are of being deeply unpopular with the public. My hope here is that the US can survive until then...and I'll admit that my confidence in that hope wavers often these days, /bleah
