Yes, that would be reasonable. They failed miserably at what they were trying to do and couldn't capture enough voters (unsurprising, given that the Democrats' only strategies appear to be to recruit out of touch neolib candidates, and to insult people who they want to win over to their side); why should we be OK with them writing books *less than a year after said failure* to cash in on the last traces of their public hype? It smacks of narcissism. If I got fired from a job, failed an exam, or got dumped, I wouldn't be writing a book about it.

Uh....have you seen what she got paid for it? Its probable that you would be writing it for that.

The advance was 20M, USD.

I'd write the book about her for that!

Remember when Bolton wouldn't testify against Trump because he wanted material for his book? A country run by narcissists.

Democrats trying to muzzle Mamdani is a great indicator of the values that party holds.

Like they failed at their one and only objective which is stopping fascism. I am not saying I personally hate them, but they did quite literally fail, and now they kinda have to hang their heads in shame about it. Instead of trying to cash in on said failure, and take advantage of having a public persona, for their own benefit. And your right, going forward Dems gotta be willing to nominate someone who is outside the mould. Try something different. But the moment someone tries, they try to shut it down, like with Mamdani. So Dems may need a top to bottom cleanup....

No it's not.

Why should you care what someone else does that has not bearing on you?

Nobody is asking for a book from some random person who failed an exam in the first place.

At least some of the blame lies on Democratic Party handlers and how they guided her campaign.

The party is coming to a reckoning. Years of hyping milquetoast ideas and candidates has yielded nothing. The people they’ve been really promoting over the years have been overwhelmingly middle of the road, right leaning white centrists. Even Kamala (though not white) suddenly shifted further away from her more progressive tendencies when pushed to run for the presidency. From shunning Bernie to blocking a Palestinian from speaking at the DNC to attacking their own party members who won decisively in primaries in Momdani, and now Omar Fateh.

FFS, Chuck Schumer makes decisions based on what an imaginary conservative family that lives inside his head would want, and sends “strongly worded letters” in the face of fascism.

This is a party leadership committee that apparently that ignores its own members and country at every turn and seemingly only exists to put forth uninspiring, controllable candidates, and force the hand of those who achieve office.

So I say yeah Kamala, write about it. I’m sure she has her frustrations too. Was their hand overriding hers? Spill the tea all over the place, babe.

Love the edict on words Democrats can't use going around of late. Brings in a level of ridiculousness to their fiddling while Rome burns narrative... /sigh
