Was curious after snapping the shot of East York above... do different sections of Toronto still use different colour street lights? Are we all moving towards one standard 'temperature' eventually? I always found the low pressure sodium vapour gas-discharge lights a little spooky. Remember when the Don Valley (and Gardiner?) had them end to end in the 70s and 80s?

Toronto seems like the last city to adopt LED lighting. I think this is due to Toronto Hydro/City selling off of the pole assets and the contract responsibility with standardize maintenance vs a full Project replacement of an asset they don’t own.
The standard High Pressure Sodium lamp in the Cobra Head fixture and the Metal Halide lamp in the Acorn fixtures are still standard specification but I thought they released new standards for LED fixtures. (Still Cobra head and Acorn fixtures)

I can’t find the new standards.

Old or current standard?

Of course they still have a few natural gas lights on King St. E. - when they work.
