Pizza Nova is a decent step up. But it has a glaring weak point, they don't have fresh garlic that you can add to the sauce for free, like Pizzaiolo at one end or 241 at the other.

Fresh garlic always improves on pizza, especially when the base sauce could be just a bit more attention getting.

Pizzaiolo can be quite good, but they're a tad pricey for a mostly unlicensed to-go chain.

A good medium pizza there sets me back 25'ish.

Just pepperoni? You seem so much more interesting than that.

Good pepperoni (which Pizza Nova has) is nice, but then you at least need double pepperoni. Plus some chili flakes or the spicy olive oil.

Pizzaiolo is a pretty good deal for slices, they are large and they have very large variety and in general (of course, depending on location) they are pretty tasty. I think it's my favourite chain for slices taking both size, variety, cost and taste into account.

It's not even a question - they are without doubt the best of the big mainstream chains. Anyone who argues otherwise has no palate. Their pepperoni slice is solid, and I'm also quite fond of their Sicilian slice (pepperoni, bacon and red onions).

Pizza Nova is okayish, but I really don't understand why someone would bother with it when Pizzaiolo is readily available.

Not quite pizza but adjacent - potato wedges have disappeared off at least some PP locations. Presumably this is the end game of the recent tots introduction but to me it’s a massive downgrade - their wedges were solid.

I recently tried Blondie's Pizza at Union Station. They had a unique slice on offer that I couldn't resist - crispy pepperoni, jalapenos, and a dash of honey. It was quite delicious.

That's my preferred slice/pizza from them.

I tried them because of UT's resident pizzatarian @AlbertC

They are a bit of a premium, but good product.

I tried Blondies when they were open in Commerce Court and wasn't impressed. Maybe I'll have to give it another try. Though I hate any pizza with honey on it, so I'll have to find something else.

I get Pizzaiolo slices for lunch once in a while (the Yonge and King location has a huge turnover, so is always fresh) but have never considered them for delivery. Maybe next time.

They're shit too.

That sort of goes without saying.

Don't get me started on Boston Pizza and East Side Marios
Okay but we were (or at least I was) talking specifically about the best place for individual pizza slices out of the chain pizza places. Which one do you think is best?

For chains it's Pizza Nova.

2nd place probably Pizzaville but I haven't had that in a few years now.

While I don't like the flavour of the sauce Pizzaiolo uses I will acknowledge it's at least edible. Especially compared to Pizza Pizza

I’ve had a couple of pizzas since my last post and the large pepperoni is the bomb.

Used to like added veggies but now it’s a simple slice for me.

When it’s too hot to cook, Pizza Nova is always making pies! 🍕
