Lets just hope the balcony glass is good
The glass for the windows is a lot better than that of phase 1 so if they just match the same quality then it should look fine. Also, the black trimming is a good change as well. Still not sure about the charcoal precast but overall, this is genuinely better than phase 1. The podium looks better too with the black bricks and trimmings.

It will be Temu balcony glass and hardware like the first tower.

The project as a whole is very welcome housing for the neighbourhood, I can't complain on that front. I just would have preferred something ever so slightly more refined for a location that will be the literal gateway to Vanier for the next 100 years.
The windows in phase 1 were absolutely terrible, but it looks like they improved with phase 2. Hopefully the balcony glass is of the same quality. Phase 1 is making phase 2 look a lot worse than it is. I think Phase 2 is a solid housing project, phase 1 like you said is downright underwhelming. Another thing is they have been getting these built very quickly, so I still think overall it's a net positive for the Vanier area.

God Almighty that far right portion especially is so abhorrent 🤢

It almost makes the first tower look good haha

The first tower definitely looks better. Leaves plenty to be desired but it's not downright offensive like its neighbor, Story or 1960 Scott.

I can live with the towers. For me, it's the podium I can't stand. Looks like a cheap reclad of a 70s strip mall; stucco over the brick.

Would it kill developers to use brick on podiums, or god forbid, red brick.

I hope atleast it has some good retail.
