Yikes. What a hot pile of garbage. Right up there with Story. Congrats 1960 Scott... you just moved up a notch.

Black just does not work well as a primary color unless it's slick paneling like SOHO Italia.

Seems to be a real issue getting precast panels to be uniform in color this dark as demonstrated by the podium and also Centrepointe Union. The lighter panels next door are probably just is mismatched if you were to measure them but it's just not as obvious.

Poor design choice for that alone. At least Centrepointe Union is precast brick so there is some texture and it's not the only material.

Hopefully the balcony glass serves to lighten it up. I feel like going to silver railings would help. It would also look better without the big vertical stripe.

Matte black 🤦‍♂️... just imagine how hot that building will get in the scorching summer sun. Very poor choice.

Those blank, inconsistently coloured precast panels look terrible. Might’ve looked ok if they got rid of those panels and carried the checkerboard window/balcony pattern all the way to both edges.

I also can’t get over how depressing the street level looks

Yeah, the 'Gateway to Vanier' ended up being a gross precast slab. That podium is horrific.

It's pretty horrible. And seeing a lot of the inoffensive red and yellow brick mid century blocks painted grey and charcoal.

Lets just hope the balcony glass is good
It will be Temu balcony glass and hardware like the first tower.

The project as a whole is very welcome housing for the neighbourhood, I can't complain on that front. I just would have preferred something ever so slightly more refined for a location that will be the literal gateway to Vanier for the next 100 years.

Yeah dude.. like.. driving down Cummings bridge even Stevie Wonder would see these front and center. It's pretty embarrassing as it stands now.

The ho hum gubmint buildings behind them are somehow more refined.

I didn't detest the first building. I just didn't care much for it. P2 is awful.

Pray that somehow P3 brings it back a notch.

But coming down the bridge P2 is def the show.
