Yeah, the 'Gateway to Vanier' ended up being a gross precast slab. That podium is horrific. Those blank, inconsistently coloured precast panels look terrible. Might’ve looked ok if they got rid of those panels and carried the checkerboard window/balcony pattern all the way to both edges.
I also can’t get over how depressing the street level looks
What a fitting way to represent Vanier, forgotten and left with crumbs.Yeah, the 'Gateway to Vanier' ended up being a gross precast slab. That podium is horrific.
What a missed opportunity to have an amazing podium welcoming you to the neighbourhood. Instead it's... that.Yeah, the 'Gateway to Vanier' ended up being a gross precast slab. That podium is horrific.
It will be Temu balcony glass and hardware like the first tower.Lets just hope the balcony glass is good
Yeah dude.. like.. driving down Cummings bridge even Stevie Wonder would see these front and center. It's pretty embarrassing as it stands now.It will be Temu balcony glass and hardware like the first tower.
The project as a whole is very welcome housing for the neighbourhood, I can't complain on that front. I just would have preferred something ever so slightly more refined for a location that will be the literal gateway to Vanier for the next 100 years.
