Calgary has committed to developing their waterfront. Edmonton hasn’t. We are still stuck deciding whether is a protected green space or a tourism/leisure space.

I think we need to commit to the central areas being developed. Don’t raze forest, but make it a destination, add amenities, invest. Mackinnon ravine/groat bridge to riverdale should all be given a ton of love to truly develop a waterfront district.

Get the gondola done and rossdale going. Redo touch the water to be way better. Get more amenities added for recreation and hospitality. Kinsmen park/Queen Elizabeth pool exist on the south bank, lets add more to the north.

We should probably study it more.
... for another 50 years?

I don't know if our municipal government really doesn't care to have nice things around the river valley or if the bureaucratic inertia here is so much worse on this than elsewhere.

It'd be sure nice to see the sidewalk/multiuse path on Grierson Hill be redone at some point. The dropoff in quality is noticeable emerging from the trails from LMP.

I forgot this existed, would be slightly less strenuous than the eastern path up from Tawatina Bridge.
