So with this, Phase I and II of the Parks, Lotus Park and the other residential project by the Parks, that's at least 2,000 people in the area by the end of the decade? That's great progress, not to mention what other projects start due to this momentum since this is probably the most active area in downtown now construction and interest wise.

Going back many years, our family used that surface lot at the south end of the property, because it helped service the building at the south end of the block, which back then had a sizeable medical focus.

I wonder what losing the service provided by that surface lot will mean for building at the south end of the block. Maybe it has its own u/g parking?

There's UG parking in the Intact Building (building along Jasper Ave) and the red brick apartment building.

I don't hate it. But in this rendering it doesn't look like there is any retail (maybe IanO can correct me if I'm wrong), which would be a damn shame. I get it if it's not all CRUs on 108 due to lack of demand, but there should be some.

Corner CRU on Lotus, but after speaking with neighbouring retail owners, seeing the plight of others in the area to not add more and the opportunity for ground floor units that some prefer, it simply made sense. Live/work can be explored if folks wish, but the idea is to support MacLab's retail bays and push people to Jasper to backstop ALL of that struggling retail. Given the nice BLVD, it makes a lot of sense to have a more residential area versus commercial. There will be options and opportunities in the area, but our focus is residential for most of it.
