Hey Triangles! We have (rather harsh 🤭) lighting under the Barrie Line. And momos!

There is renovation on the building that houses Ethica Roasters to create a largish, street-facing retail unit. A welcome addition! And there is new outdoor art at MOCA. Finally it looks like The Sterling Tower has filled up. Taken 13 September.

The top floor of the Sterling Automotive Building is open and provides great views of the Triangle and beyond. I liked the Biennale display but I am not a critique so can’t comment on its quality. Taken 21 September.

It's not necessarily the art. All the textures of the concrete on the floor, walls, and ceiling, coupled with the many columns and the wiring on the ceiling, compete for the eyes' attention with the art itself. Solid-coloured walls in a neutral colour would create a neutral background for the art to come through better.

Farmhouse Tavern at Dupont & Edwin will be closing for good, with their last day set for this Sunday, November 3rd.

Although they do hint at a new concept will be in the works soon:

Howdy Triangles! The park is open and is being used by neighbourhood dogs and their minders. I hope that some sort of fencing is being contemplated to prevent inappropriate use. Also the Railpath is seeing a lot of progress. Taken 9 November.
