I would agree, but this surprise soft-launch seems to be a lot more than clothing, especially if they are bringing something like Zeddy into it. Ailes was a department store comparable to Sears or The Bay as far as I know, I don't think they would do that with the Zellers name.

If anything it seems they are using the Ailes company entity to conduct business for whatever reason, if I would hazard a guess.
It's very interesting to see a company like International Clothiers buy Zellers tbh given that it's a clothing store and Zellers was much more then that in it's heyday

It confused me too seeing Ailes and Fairweather brought up in that article a few weeks ago, and now we know what the plan is with Zellers it just brings up more questions. But they seem to be closing in very fast given they only acquired the trademark on August 5th.

I guess the soft-launch tomorrow will show us what to expect. I'm interested, especially since it seems like Yorkdale will be getting one of these soon, which is honestly the last place I would expect a Zellers. In fact I feel like I need to find some sort of secondary proof of that before I get too excited.

At least this news has nothing to do with Ruby and her antics...

Why is all this discussion of Zellers going on here? There's a thread I created just for this:

Thanks NL, generally unless someone links to it I don't see it. Following as many threads as I do already I don't normally check the "new posts" tab.

... Could they lease the ground floor to someone who can manage quick n' dirty like Halloween Spirit? Sure...
I think you forgot to check your calendar. There is no Halloween this year.

(I'm surprised at not hearing any talk about what a strange and very unusual year 2025 becomes in the last four months, at least according to this free desk calendar that was delivered to my mailbox in early January. I thought Monday was September 1st, but it was Wednesday. And September and November both have 31 days.)

I hope V-Tac Accounting got these at a good price! Cheap calendars are different than accurate and cheap calendars

Any updates on the court decisions of ruby Liu taking over Hudson’s bay locations?
No updates I've seen, other than RioCan bid to buy the other half of Oakville Place and Georgian Mall out of the Hudson's Bay co-ownership.

If there are any updates on Ruby, the media hasn't reported on it...

I think after the courts realized she wanted to open a bunch of retail outlets akin to Nations in the Stockyards everyone stopped taking her seriously.

For those who are not familiar with Nations think of it like if Al Premum and The Rec Room merged

I was under the impression Nations was just a grocery store. Didn't know it had all that going on, wow

My son loves going to their indoor playground, but it's an intense experience for me 😄

I remember once going down the conveyor belt at Morningside Mall when my mother got groceries. She put me down absentmindedly on the conveyor belt putting her purse away and I ended up outside.

The Dominion there had a feature where you could put your groceries on the belt and pick up at a waiting car outside.

Nothing is more intense than your kid disappearing without knowing where you left them.

Wow, I would have a heart attack if that happened to me! o_O
