Police pickup blocking off one lane directly in the middle of the bridge. And a number of the suicide barriers were cut.

I still hate to this day, the money spent on this monstrosity. It defaces the classical bridge lines and narrows the sidewalks. I get why they were trying but its a fail all the way through.

My mom immediately said it reminded her of Auschwitz. Not a happy comparison.

Maybe THE coolest vision/idea/rendering this city has seen since the CN Tower?

Kind of in the right area, but this seems ridiculously and unnecessarily smooshed. How about on the surface parking lot instead just to the north of this?

I’m not sure if the LRT will cause issues but they could put more portions of 109 St underground and have a larger central station on the west side of the Legislature grounds.

Either way, any investment into a central station there should probably be paired with upgrades to Government Centre station. Would be a good opportunity to upgrade that too for HSR connectivity.

My back-of-the-napkin idea that ignores all costs, or realities of existing building usage or even topography, is to use the old ROW that the street car uses (grade separated as needed), but after you cross 109 St, dig down and bring it down across the Kinsmen kind of, and then build a new (less expansive than High Level replacement) bridge to a new station that replaces the Terrace Building.
