Is it known whether GO will send these units to North Bay (or Sarnia as seen with 867, 870, and 872) like the ex Metrolink units? Or will GO just overhaul them in house?
Originally, it sounded like they were destined for LDS in Sarnia. But seeing as how they ended up in Toronto, it seems that wasn't what was on the waybill.

This was the first time I saw a regular Series VII Bilevel coach that was refurbished by Alstom. It looked very fresh.

So far every BiLevel refurbishment has seemingly kept the original style seats, except for the Series VI cars that were refurbished in 2019 (2500 - 2521), which were given the style of seats found in the Series X cars

Those seats seem to get dirtier too (or at least it shows more easily). Probably from those who are ignorant about putting their dirty shoes on the upholstery as they put their feet up during the winter... and I don't want to think about other reasons (spilled beverages is one, but others may be far worse)

One of the numerous reasons I wish they would rotate half the seats on the upper level so they're in rows rather than quads. Much harder to put your feet on the seats

Agreed, however I feel like they should just add retractable footrests below the seats so people can just rest their feet when the opposing seat is empty. They already have retractable footrests on some of their bus fleet, i quite like them.

too bad they dont do it like Asia where they rotate all the seats at the terminus to face the direction of travel.
