Is there any way to track down the cab cars with the old front? I'm aware there's numerous trarcking website but these seem to only show the locomotive numbers and not consist information.

Thanks
Publicly, there is no way other than trying to parse observations and sightings from others.

I wonder how much a new equivalent car from CRRC would go for
thats the price if inflation and refurbing old equipment. eventually the cost of maintenance approaches the cost of outright replacement. i wouldnt be surprised though if some of the costs trickle down to some kickbacks...

I don't think buy cars from the Government of China is an option. What are the chances we'd even have trade relations with an increasingly autocratic rogue dictatorship by the time delivery is complete in the 2040s. There's too much risk.

When I was in Montreal I rode on EXO's CRRC coaches.

Very cheap and plastic interiors. Uncomfortable seats. Not as good as GO's Bombardier bi-levels. Not even as good as the older, unfurbished GO coaches.

Good grief, I hadn't realized they'd gone that route. Looks like they were delivered years late - and it was a very small order.

Still did better than Philadelphia, I guess, where they were several years late and delivered a deficient product eventually leading to the cancellation of the order.

2227 still has the stupid middle pole, so does 2005? I forgot the other one just rember that it was a 20XX

I wonder if anyone will pickup those retired Montreal bi-levels?

Finally some new buses for GO.

The Metrolinx award includes an initial firm order for 80 45-foot D45 CRT diesel commuter coaches along with a number of options that were added to MCI’s fourth quarter 2024 backlog. The contract also includes milestone billing payment structure to support working capital investments.

Thank heaven it's not DDs. Hopefully MCI hasn't lost the sauce since last time
