205 was seen from the business plaza by Kipling and New Toronto and I didn't go up to Islington that time.

Not complex at all. There is a step bolted to the outside of the car just below the door threshold. It would have to be replaced with a new one mounted higher - and in line with the door threshold.

They'd just split it and attach another loco onto the six pack on the left. Only thing is though, is that you still require a clean and trip-ready 5A car on both six packs.
No they aren’t making 2 trains out of it, they’re disconnecting 7-10/12 and leaving them behind, only operating the 6 car train that’s left. Over the weekends Georgetown Yard has two sets of 4 cars remaining from two 10 car trains that operate on weekdays, while the two Kitchener consists that operate on Saturday and Sunday rhn as 6 car trains:

I have thus far only seen this procedure in use on the Kitchener Line. Wonder whether the refurbished cab cars might be used this way?
I assume so, the currently operating cabs are getting the new door that allows the cab to be placed in the middle of the train, so I assume the rebuilt cabs will too
 
Funnily enough, there is a consist right now set up like that, however the 10 car portion is also led by an old cab car. (255 leading and 253 midset)
