Not sure, all I know is that it was on platform 13

That happen to an eastbound train at Port Credit as few months ago. Could have been caused by someone smoking in the washroom illegal or the electrical system as the police were at PC along with GO Enforcement team.

They have more than enough spares. It'll probably be retired and parted out. Then again since ML is now refurbing 40 year old cab cars for essentially storage who knows what black magic they will conjur up

One regular coach doesn’t really matter on the grand scale of things, but unless GO wants to order more cab cars in the near future, they’ll need to refurbish every existing one they currently have right now.

What do you want them to do? Switch out active cab cars for the older ones just 'cause? Until service increases there’s no need to use the cab cars

I think the thought of paying big money to refurbish something and then not using it is dumb. The cars should definitely be cycled out into service sometimes, especially at the expense of unrefurbished cars.

The only unrefurbished old cab cars that still are used is 251-257 (most of which aren't even being used now), the rest are all CEM Cab Cars.

There is also the supposed fact that they can't lead right now because apparently the electronics in the cab weren't re-installed after their deactivation.

Jobs.... northbay needs jobs... so they found work for the ON plant. Even if it's at best half meaningful. Then again why the hell are they delivering without electronics?? Half done job prematurely delivered only to sit idle and waste more money in storage and then another refurb just to bring them to service standards!??! Talk about waste of time and money

Well it'd be the Ontario Northland plant in North Bay but I see your point.

I also don't think they'd need much work to install the electronics back into the cab. Just a matter of when they see a need for them to be using them right now.

I’m at least surprised they haven’t put one as a train lead to give it a good sweat test. Usually when one gets a new product you want to use it to work out any kinks that may exist. Others here have said the electronics are yet to be installed, but again surprised that one hasn’t been pressed into service for rigorous live tests.
