The drawing is ambiguous since I used the same colour for local services from both lines.

My thinking is in the previous plan the Stouffville line local service could stop at Scarborough since there are other places for express trains to overtake locals. In the new plan there is no longer anywhere for Stouffville express trains to overtake locals, so Stouffville locals would not stop at Scarborough. And if they are value engineering as the announcement suggests, there's a good chance they'll delete Stouffville express service altogether in which case Stouffville locals shouldn't stop there since all the longer distance passengers will need to be on local trains.

Yeah I saw that and it makes no sense. Lakeshore is the one with both express and local tracks. Stouffville has no overtaking opportunities whatsoever. Stouffville also stops at Kennedy very close by.

Honestly, neither should pass through (maybe aside from express trains). It's comically short-sighted.

Once again MX's view that the only transit pattern that matters is "in/out of Union" comes into play here in a bad way. If someone wanted to go from Kennedy to Rouge Hill (or beyond into Durham), they'd be able to transfer from Stouffville to Lakeshore here and that trip would be pretty easy. Instead they're supposed to go all the way to Danforth and transfer? No one is going to do that! It's completely unintuitive to the average person to go that far out of the way to change trains. Scarborough GO should be a transfer point between the two lines, given it's the last station before they split apart. But journeys like that aren't something MX thinks about unfortunately.

Kennedy to Rouge Hill is pretty much the only station pair where that would make any sense. Anywhere north of Kennedy or east of Rouge Hill it would be faster to take a 407/401 GO bus. And from Kennedy to Eglinton or Guildwood you're better off taking a TTC express bus. Is it really worth adding 2 minutes to 99% of passengers' trips to save 6 minutes for 1%? Running non-stop from Kennedy to Danforth is only about 3 minutes longer than running to Scarborough so it's not like it's a huge difference even to the people wanting to make that specific trip.

Fair enough, I forgot about GO busses for a minute there. But I will say for people making that specific trip, no one is going to go to Danforth and double back. Psychologically, it feels bad to go that far out of the way. It's like how people don't like doing multiple transfers, even if it's technically faster. Now maybe that trip is rare enough it isn't worth it anyway.

If you're coming from Kennedy Station, you're at/coming from the north (otherwise you'd take the LE going into durham). Southbound trips along Kennedy are/will be frequently serviced by STC (line 2 subway), 401 (GO Bus) and future BRT routes along Ellesmere.

You're correct - they probably won't do that. It's about 30-45 minutes from STC to rouge hill presently. If you continued southbound to Scarborough, then waited for a train eastbound you aren't saving much time if any. It's 16 minutes from Scarborough GO to Rouge Hill...plus the travel and dwell time at/to Scarborough GO.

It could be the numbers/catchment area don't support. How many people are going to Rouge Hill GO (and points around Port Union)? Aside from the park/waterfront, it's not much a destination.

Again, look at today's travel times and show that it's warranted...Suggesting this is why there is consideration for bypass.
 
What is the timetable for the new St Clair Station as it has slip my mind?? Part of the lane being used as a parking/storage yard today.

Dining party in elevator 2 at West Harbour and sleeping in the stairwells.

Speed limit for the new track is 30 and until trains can use it, CN needs to re-signal the corridor for all 3 tracks. new signal mast are in place for all 3 tracks.

The parking lot for Confederation Station is fully ready for use once it is strip. The platform is fully built with only a small shelter area. looks like work is still taking place for the elevator.

Not sure what the small shelter at the east end of the platform other than access to the sidewalk

West Harbour is essentially a homeless shelter for people that are so unhinged that they’re service restricted from the actual shelters in town, it’s pretty sad.

What are you talking about? They have not opened because they are not (yet) safe. I am sure Mr Ford would have loved to see them open on schedule - the fact that they haven't is NOT 'good politics' for the Transit Premier.
