The Parkside Drive camera has been cut down yet again; making it the seventh time this has happened. 🤬🤬🤬

The police should ask the neighbours what do their security cameras show. The culprits may park a block or two away and have to walk (with the heavy saw) to the Parkside Drive camera, but if the cameras are aimed at the street, they may pick up their car plates and maybe their faces (before they mask themselves). If anyone sees masked folks with a saw walking at night, call 9-1-1.

I think someone put up a trail camera but got a blurry picture of a man on a short ladder. That was the time before this latest.

The police are too busy to go after the people who cut down the speed camera. Engaged going after the cyclists in High Park who don't come to a complete halt at the stop signs for ≈3 seconds, or going 2 kilometres over the 20 km/h speed limit in the park.

They should put it up again, calibrate it to give tickets at 1 km/hr over the limit, and use the revenue to stake it out in person 24/7 until they catch the person. Offer any surplus revenue as a reward to anyone who turns them in.

The ticket stats have shown that to not be true.

Speed bumps cannot be cutdown, but they also do not generate revenue. The city needs to decide which is more important.
Can't do speed bumps on major arterials like Parkside.

That's the point. Stop Parkside being a major arterial. Where should all those trying to use it to commute to Mississauga, Milton, etc, go? IDGAF. Screw them and the cars they came in on.

More speed cameras cut down overnight.

That bit from Doug Ford sets a dangerous precedent. It's an indirect endorsement of those who cut down the speed cameras!

Still a violation under the HTA. At least the police is doing something. And there have been many complaints by local residents and users of High Park over cyclist.

I get it, we all hate when we are caught by them. We all have an opinion on what the priorities should be. We all have our bias. But TPS need to make sure all users are safe.

Cyclist aren't above the law or some kind of exception because of our bias.
