Anything and everything that can be done should be done to speed up the line. And all those things should be planned for any future LRTs. At this point they need to be able to prove that they can make LRT work in a Toronto context. And of course anything that they can also apply to the streetcar system should be, even if they can never be brought up to the speed of the dedicated LRTs (although that should be the goal, but it would probably require removing a lot more stops than they would want to, and building actual platforms which would get expensive).
