Reopen the Smitty's in the former RTDRS space and that street will be COOKING baby.

I badly want that parkade on the east gone. It creates such a dead zone on the street.
The sidewalk on the south side sandwiched between the north face of ECC and the truck access tunnel to their loading docks is no better (and possibly even worse).I badly want that parkade on the east gone. It creates such a dead zone on the street.
Yeah, not sure how you fix this street anytime soon. Parkades on all sides, the brutal sandman corner…The sidewalk on the south side sandwiched between the north face of ECC and the truck access tunnel to their loading docks is no better (and possibly even worse).
We stay at the Sandman a lot.....close proximity to everything - and that corner underneath the "Chop" is Fentanyl Hunch HQ.Yeah, not sure how you fix this street anytime soon. Parkades on all sides, the brutal sandman corner… View attachment 670528
What building are you talking about? It sure ain't Williams Hall.1. They should reopen an amazing bar in the basement featuring live music and this time permit 'ripped jeans' (there's a story)
2. Could we please see the flags back over the entrance? It adds a more international flavour having an Alberta, Canada and often times some other key international ones.
3. How about taking better advantage of that awesome top floor pool/sundeck and do some fun events up there with music, tiki bar etc to liven things up.
Albert's is where it's at! Not sure that would fly well downtown though, especially with 124 location fairly close by.Reopen the Smitty's in the former RTDRS space and that street will be COOKING baby.![]()
Bars be struggling. The kids ain't drinking. In 2025 they have options. If I had Minecraft when I was 16 I would probably have never bothered with beer.1. They should reopen an amazing bar in the basement featuring live music and this time permit 'ripped jeans' (there's a story)

I don’t drink for health reasons, but if housing and food (dine-in and groceries) weren’t so expensive, I’d be blowing loads of money on mocktailsBars be struggling. The kids ain't drinking. In 2025 they have options. If I had Minecraft when I was 16 I would probably have never bothered with beer.
Not to derail this thread further, but Spilt has a bunch of drinks that aren't too pricey.I don’t drink for health reasons, but if housing and food (dine-in and groceries) weren’t so expensive, I’d be blowing loads of money on mocktails![]()
