While most of us can not hope to afford to live in it, the building looks nice and will be a good addition to the area, not to mention the economic activity its construction will generate.
In other cities that are more used to having more upscale and expensive buildings, this would not be a big thing, but here in Edmonton something that stands out too much can be frowned upon.
I feel we need to get over that some and whatever envy that may be part of it.

Hand on heart, I have zero envy in this case, more of a general sense of confusion. More power to them and I hope the building does well, it's just that that level of wealth is incomprehensible and utterly foreign to my wee brain.

Literally nothing to do with luxury and nothing to do with envy. It’s incredibly simple. I don’t know how it can be any more clear that if these unit asking prices were halved THEY WOULD STILL BE HIGH. I don’t know how else to say it so I’ll give up.
