Random Observation; every time I've walked through Stantec post-Oilers game this year, it smells faintly like sewage in the lobby. Hope it doesn't result in the building needing major work one day.
Pretty sure it's actually meth. Over the winter they were allowing the cafeteria area to basically be used as a drop in shelter.

They've done some drywalling. I jope there is more movement than this in the works.

I just took that same photo this afternoon, you beat me to it!

Before that wall went up those were all separate retail bays. I wonder what the plan is with blocking them all off, are they mothballing them until there is future demand? Or is it a temporary wall while they build out the bays?

^Haha. We probably crossed paths.
My brother and I were having the exact same discussion as we were checking the space out. There looked to be a door at the very south end. That gave me a bit of hope that it was a construction access door to those bays. Fingers and toes crossed!!
On a side note, the space was a bit of a s#!+ show yesterday when we were there. Two EPS, 3 security guards, two people in serious physical/mental condition, 3 others wandering/staggering aimlessly and about 6 of us eating our lunch. A pretty depressing scene. I hope the gawd that the drywal is a sign of something finally moving forward here.

Hearing that Sky Residences are buying back units to convert to full rental?
What the crux of what you’re saying Ian? Is that our rental market is so high that OEG recalled all these sales and wants to turn them into rentals and that they can’t wait to get started on new rental towers?
