I'm wondering why the main transit center is not right next to the hospital, there is an empty field in between...
They don’t need help in EdmontonWould that be a Big kick in the .... if she cancelled this. Would definitely help the NDP in Edmonton.
Makes a ton of logical sense for the UCP to cancel this hospital either silently or not...its not in Calgary.Maybe unofficially canceled?

Alberta NDP pledges to 'urgently' build new hospital in south Edmonton
Edmonton desperately needs more health-care beds, Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley said Wednesday while promising to spend at least $1.8 billion to build a new hospital in south Edmonton if she becomes premier again.edmonton.ctvnews.ca
She never had mine to begin with but I hope this wakes some people up.About time this came to light!! Hopefully this puts a nail in Smith's election coffin for even a SINGLE vote out of YEG.....
Design work has started and stopped on this for at least 5 years now. I know people that were involved. They are quite frustrated. This hospital was needed 10 years ago. Massive federal immigration targets, aging boomer population and swaths of people leaving Ontario and BC for Alberta all indicate this should and needs to be one of the top priorities for funding. I’m no UCP fan but I don’t think there is any cancellation plan, just still hospitals take years upon years to plan, design, program, etc. Just playing catchup from remnants of piss poor healthcare management from the Klein/Stelmach/Redford PC era, which is when this hospital should have been announced.

But like the Brain surgury centre if it gets built it will be a pared down version. Maybe even a community health centre.
Yet, just this week a government MLA said the delay was because a "business case" was not made for this hospital. What planet do these politicians live on?This hospital was needed 10 years ago.
