I also hope that some road improvements are done. Walking up that sidewalk has got to be one of the most depressing experiences as a pedestrian. It's narrow, crumbling, and sweet jesus, so ugly. Why oh why can't we have nice things?

We have so many nice things. The city can't do it all at once.

Yes, it is true we have a number of nice things in other parts of the city, like Victoria Promenade, Saskatchewan Drive and Glenora, but this area particular area is very bad and really needs improvement.

Dealing with this particular property should be good time to start dealing with this as they are related.

Is it being demolished? I ask because it looks like they are setting up fall protection on the roof, which doesn't scream demolition to me.
But I'm not familiar with the process of how a demolition would work.

Bellamy Hill is going to look completely different once this place is demo'd.

Overall, a shame. This really was a unique building and before Martyshuk Housing operating it, in the right hands it could have had incredible potential.

oh well... onward and upward

It's going to be demolished, yes, but Procura won't be building there right away as they are still seeking funding.

Here's an idea:
Procura should sell the land to a reputable developer who can build a sleek infill development that can make this city proud.
Reputable developers can include the likes of Westrich, Maclab, Pangman, Edgar or Beljan.
